Epsylon Hotel video system (EVHS) - Video-On-Demand
Hospitality and first-class service are what should remain in the hotel
guest's memory. One of such paid services is the interactive video-on-demand
system (EVHS) now widely applied to replace the Pay Per View Television (PPVT).
The Video-on-demand's inestimable advantage over the Pay Per View
Television is that it provides far greater number of movies (hundreds to
thousands) allowing the guest to choose any of them to his own taste, stopped
and play it at any moment, select language of subtitles etc.
EVHS is closely integrated with the Hotel management
system UCS Shelter. It charges the video-on-demand services to guest's general
account. EVHS provides the guest with information on his current expenses,
messages from the Hotel administration and other guests.
EVHS transmits
the information on the provided services, messages for the guest, state of his
account etc. to the hotel automation system, and displays that on a TV screen as
a creeping line.
